Women have been gathering in circles since the beginning of time to share experiences, stories, thoughts, ideas and prayers.
A women's circle is a safe and sacred space for women of all ages and backgrounds to come together, use their voices, be heard and seen. These gatherings help women to get in touch with feminine strength and turn up their positive energy.
A Baby Blessing is just another form of a women's circle where the focus is on the mumma to be.
The blessing is a modern ceremony that can give expecting mums a sense of support and honor.

Ideas of how to host your baby Blessing
Turn on some soft music
Setup all your rugs, cushions, and mandala centerpiece
Lay your angel cards out around the mandala
As each guest arrives invite them to take a card
Light some candles
Each guest can add a flower to the mandala
Once everyone has arrived introduce yourself and the mumma to be to the group
Get your guests to introduce themselves as you go around with a sage smudge stick to clear any negative energy
Tell the group the structure of how you will run the circle
You may choose some poems, prayers or songs to say
Each guest can bring a bead to make a cord of beads for the mumma to be to take with them to labour. It is a powerful and tangible way for the new mum to be reminded of the support she has.
